Special Seminars and Activities

Dickens Universe participants have the opportunity to select from multiple free seminars and activities that take place at various times throughout the week.


Dickensian Seminar: Can't get enough? A Dickens Project faculty members facilitate a group of folks, including Community College instructors and others, who want a more in-depth discussion of the novel and the lectures. If you have more to say or want to move to another level, the Dickensian Seminar is the place for you.

Nineteenth-Century Seminar: Scholars doing research have a unique opportunity to meet with colleagues for discussion and feedback in the Nineteenth-Century Seminar. Please read the details before selecting this seminar.

Deciphering Dickens Project: Deciphering Dickens invited participants to help transcribe much of Dickens’s deleted and revised manuscript material as possible, to produce a powerful and lasting resource for readers, scholars, and editors of his work. (Please bring your laptop.)
