Attending the Universe for Undergraduate Credit
Attending the Universe for Undergraduate Credit
LIT 112C (UCSC Summer Session, Special Program)
LIT 112C is a unique course offered during UCSC’s Summer Session, wherein students can earn 5 units to fulfill the Canons or Histories critical approach requirement for Literature majors, and the Textual Analysis general education requirement for all UCSC students. Popularly dubbed an “intellectual summer camp,” the Universe is an immersive experience. Students will dance, dine, and socialize alongside university faculty, graduate students, and Road Scholars, whilst simultaneously keeping up with a rigorous academic schedule by attending general lectures led by world-renowned plenary lecturers, in addition to attending undergraduate-exclusive discussion sections. Undergraduates must register for this course through UCSC Summer Session. Registration directions for both UCSC and non-UCSC students are available on the Summer Session website. See Literature courses listed on the Literature summer course page.
