The National Endowment for the Humanities announced in August that the Dickens Project will receive funding for two Summer Seminars, to run concurrently in July, 2014. Both seminars will deal with adaptations of Dickens, though in different ways, and for different audiences.

Prof. Marty Gould of the University of South Florida will reprise his very successful Seminar for School Teachers. "Great Adaptations: Dickens in Literature and Film."

A Summer Seminar for College Instructors will be led by Prof. Sharon Weltman of Louisiana State University. Her seminar is titled, "Performing Dickens: Oliver Twist and Great Expectations on Page, Stage, and Screen."

Details about the seminars, as well a links to application guidelines and materials are available on our web site.
