2020 Registration Refund Information

Out of concern for the health and safety of all our participants, especially the more vulnerable among us, we have decided to cancel the Dickens Universe planned for this coming July and postpone it until the summer of 2021. For more information about this decision, please see the March 23rd message from our Director.

Anyone who previously enrolled in the 2020 Dickens Universe may receive a full refund of their registration fees, or apply paid registration fees toward next year's conference. Due to California's shelter in place order, additional steps are required to process your refunds and may increase processing time.

Please notify Courtney (cmahaney@ucsc.edu or 831.459.2103) if you would like a refund or if you would prefer to apply your paid registration fee to next year's conference.

For refunds:

  • If you paid by credit card, we will coordinate with our bank to reverse the charge.
  • If you paid by check, there is paperwork you will need to complete before we can issue a reimbursement payment. Courtney will provide you with the necessary forms and instructions.

If you are a Road Scholar, please stay tuned for instructions. Road Scholar is currently experiencing an increase in customer service requests related to program cancellations, and they will be advising us of the next steps as soon as possible. They, too, will likely offer the option for a refund or registration in the 2021 Dickens Universe program.
