Julie Minnis

Julie is a Santa Cruz local who was introduced to the Universe by her neighbor, Murray Baumgarten (a co-founder of the Project). She continued on to become the founding president of the Friends, a leader of the teacher workshop during the Universe, and a fellow of two NEH summer seminars. As a former high school English teacher, she continues to fulfill her love of teaching by leading the Steinbeck Young Authors program.
